With most teams planning to send large squads up to Saturday's pre-state meet in Aurora, the Joe Davis Invitational was a shadow of its former self. Only Fountain Valley and James Irwin seemed to have regular varsity squads on hand. TCA, Liberty, and Vista Ridge kept their top runners on the shelf for this meet.

While Fountain Valley had a strong presence up front in both races (claiming a first in the girls 5K and seconds in both the boys and girls 5K), the depth of The Classical Academy was enough to dominate both of the 5K races. Adam Warren won the 5K title for TCA with a time of 19:07. Sam Olvera's 21:30 was easily enough for the girls title.
